My path to becoming a mental health therapist started early in life. As an adolescent, I felt the negative effects of low self-worth, anxiety, depression, and a crippling eating disorder. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of the help that I could have received at such a young age which resulted in me carrying these experiences into adulthood. It wasn't until my mid-20's that I finally realized I needed help beyond myself and began attending regular therapy sessions. Through this experience, I learned that, despite the pain and trauma I had endured in my life, there was hope for healing. Little did I know that this experience was the beginning of my passion to help others and extend the same hope that was offered to me at such a crucial time of my life. Therapy saved and changed my life forever and I truly believe it can do the same for others.

I attended Liberty University and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree in May 2020 with emphasis in Crisis Counseling and Addictions & Recovery. I then went on to complete my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy through Liberty University in December of 2022.

I enjoy working with families, couples, individuals, and adolescents. I place a lot of emphasis on building self-worth, promoting healthy boundaries and communication, and discovering your true self. Rise Counseling is a place I have dreamed about for years: a place where clients from all backgrounds and walks of life can have a safe place to open up about their deepest hurts and find the hope that they have been searching for.

Fun facts about me:
My husband and I live by the lake with our three absolutely obnoxious but amazing pups. My favorite hobbies are baking, running (mainly because of all the baking), and traveling.
